Baker Hughes Unveils Ombuds Website

Like most corporate Ombuds programs, the new Baker Hughes "o3" website is firewalled and accessible only to employees.  However, the office has published some information as part of the company's demonstration of corporate social responsibility.  The new webpage describes the office as follows:
The ever-present change and demands of today’s business environment raise inevitable questions and concerns among employees. The Baker Hughes Organizational Ombuds Office – the o3 – was designed and developed with the input of Baker Hughes employees as an addition to more formal programs to encourage communication and to support our core values of integrity, teamwork, performance, and learning. The o3 provides an independent, neutral, informal, and confidential environment for our employees to discuss workplace concerns. From clarifying a policy or procedure to planning and practicing for a difficult conversation, Ombuds listen, provide guidance, and work with employees at all levels of the organization to answer any question, large or small, with complete confidentiality.
More information is available to Baker Hughes employees on the o3 intranet site.  Three members of the Baker Hughers o3 office--Melanie Lewis, Bonnie Bonnivier, and Dale Kunneman--will be making a presentation at the IOA annual conference.  (Baker Hughes Ombuds.)

  2. Angry O -

As usual you crack me up.
The logo came together very easily from a couple of inputs.
One of which was a drill bit used in very tough conditions.
This was not a company where a dove, handshake or olive branch was going to fly.
