Texas Tech University to Appoint First Faculty Ombuds

Texas Tech is conducting an internal search for its first University Faculty Ombudsperson. The position will work with about 2,600 academic staff and report to the Faculty Senate and Provost/Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Applicants must be a full-time faculty member at Texas Tech. However, a tenured member of the faculty is strongly preferred.  Applications will be reviewed beginning September 1, 2014 and will be accepted until the position is filled.  (Tech Announce.)

Texas Tech's Student Ombuds program was transformed into the Student Resolution Center in 2012.
