Association of Canadian College and University Ombudspersons Publishes Toolkit for New Offices

ACCUO’s "Ombuds Toolkit" is an information package intended for Ombuds and for stakeholders wanting to create an Ombuds Office in a Canadian postsecondary institution events.  However, the Toolkit is an important resource for Ombuds more broadly.



ACCUO's toolkit provides:

• information on ombuds principles, standards and best practices
• presentations and talks on ombuds offices
• consultation for ombudspersons or other stakeholders on starting an office, reviewing terms of reference, transitioning between ombudspersons, etc.
• mentoring for new ombudspersons.

The information is organized as series of FAQ's and is available in English and French.  In addition, it provides links to other materials and examples.  (ACCUO Toolkit: English; French.)
