The incumbent practices to IOA standards and serves as an Ombuds for staff with employment disputes before the formal complaint stage. The GS-14 position pays $106,263 to $138,136 per year. According to this (and the prior) job posting, the Ombuds, "listens to concerns in confidence" and "Brings systemic issues to the attention of appropriate management officials without compromising confidentiality."  Ombuds at universities facing a Department of Education Office of Civil Rights investigation may find this ironic.
