Concordia University's Ombuds to Retire

Kristen Robillard, who has served as Concordia’s Ombudsperson for more than 15 years, has announced her retirement. In addition to the thousands of people she has assisted, Robillard is being hailed as a leader within the Ombuds community. According to an article in the campus newspaper:

Since 2002, she has served on the executive of the Association des ombudsmans des universités du Québec. She is currently on the executive of the Association of Canadian College and University Ombudspersons and served as its president for two consecutive terms (2010-2014). In 2010, she was awarded the Special Contribution Award for Academic Ombudsmanship by her Canadian peers. 

In addition, Robillard was able to change the reporting structure for the office so that it now reports directly to Concordia’s Board of Governors. Robillard is stepping down for health reasons. (Concordia News.)
