UC Davis Ombuds Posts Mid-Year Report

Susan Park, the Campus Ombuds at UC Davis, has published a report to summarize the activities of her office since its inception and to share the results of a new satsifaction survey. With the recent departure of Associate Ombuds Rita Callahan and Park's departure in April 2016, the report may be a critical document for the future of the office.
According to the report,
In the beginning of June 2013, the Ombuds Office began with a single ombuds providing service to faculty, staff, and postdocs in a shared, temporary location. By fiscal year end, the Ombuds Office had offices on the Davis campus and in the Health System, an administrative assistant, a brochure, an off-site data collection system, a fully functional website, a satisfaction survey (on-line and hard copy), and a constituency expanded to include students.
A survey of constituents found, "97% of the visitors to the Ombuds Office saw enough value in their experience to say they would refer others to the Office for services."  (UC Davis 2015-16 Report.)
