Brandeis University Names Interim Ombuds

Fulfilling her promise to student protesters, Interim University President Lisa M. Lynch has appointed three Ombuds to work with undergraduate and graduate students through the Spring semester. All three are staff members and have attended IOA training: Erika Smith, Elena Lewis, and Brian Koslowski.

Erika Smith is currently the Director of the Myra Kraft Transitional Year Program and has held a variety of position over 15 years at Brandeis. She earned her PhD at Brandeis' Heller School for Social Policy and Management. Elena Lewis earned her MA at Brandeis and is currently the Assistant Director of the Student Support Services Program. She has worked at the university for 14 years. Brian Koslowski is an eight-year employee at Brandeis and serves as the Associate Director of Academic Advising. He earned a BA and MEd in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. (The Justice; Brandeis Ombuds.)
