IOA Hosts Two Scholarship Winners at 2017 Conference

The International Ombudsman Association selected two recipients to to receive financial support to attend IOA's 12th Annual Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota last week: Kouame Noel Adjoumani and Elizabeth Hodges.  The scholarships are intended to support introductory IOA training and recognize individuals who mmay be instrumental in the advancement of the organizational ombudsman profession outside of the United States and Canada. 

Kouame Noel Adjoumani has been the head of the Restoring Family Links Programme for the Abidjan regional delegation of the International Crescent of the Red Cross in the Ivory Coast since 2001.  He is also part of the ICRC Ombuds Network.  He graduated from the Université de l'Atlantique and earned a Masters in Law at Université de Bouaké. Elizabeth Hodges is the Student Ombudsman and a Professor of English at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao.  She graduated from Earlham College and earned a Masters in Education at Columbia's Teachers College. (LinkedIn.)
